Yemeni Huthi rebels have stated that y have fired a missile at international airport of Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh. The attack was a reaction to bombardment and blockade of Yemen by a Saudi Arabian military intervention, said Ali al-Kahum from political office of Shiite rebels.

The Houthis, which control large parts in norast of Yemen, would have used a rocket of type “Volcano H-2”. “We have right to strike back and fire missiles on those who kill our sons and our people with ir planes,” said Al-Kahum. He was referring to an air raid a few days ago in Yemeni province of Saada with 29 deaths.
Previously, Arab News channel al-Arabija reported that Saudi Arabian air Force intercepted a rocket north-east of Riyadh. The ballistic missile was “of limited size”, it was said in report. Injuries or damage had not been reported. The airport is located in norast of capital city.
In Civil war country of Yemen, Saudi Arabia is leading a military coalition that intervenes in intra-Yemeni fights. There has been a civil war between rebels and internationally recognized government of country for three years. The coalition, which has several Arab and North African countries, has been flying against rebels since 2015, supporting troops of Sunni president of Yemen, Abed Rabbo Mansur Hadi.
