AKRON, Ohio – Detectives suspect a shooting that left a 31-year-old woman dead Tuesday in Akron was related to domestic violence, police said.

The woman was shot several times just after 10:30 a.m. on Romig Road near Kendale Drive, police said in a news release.

Officers found the woman on a patio. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the woman’s identity once her family has been notified, police said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident. A suspect’s name will be released once the victim’s family has been contacted, police said.
