Did Chris Brown get cold feet over a boxing match with Soulja Boy? Well, that’s what Soulja Boy was trying to convey in a series of messages he posted on Twitter on Sunday. According to the former “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star, Brown was scared to fight him and refuse to sign a contract for the duel.
The two music artists started their beef on social media after Soulja Boy liked and commented on an Instagram photo posted by Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. According to New York Daily News, they announced in January that they were going to take their feud to the boxing match. Soulja Boy was reportedly trained by Evander Holyfield while Brown asked for Mike Tyson’s help.
Unfortunately, the highly anticipated match won’t push through as Brown refused to sign the contract. Billboard reported Brown doesn’t want to fight Soulja Boy anymore and the “Crank Dat” rapper said their beef was over. However, he suggested his Twitter followers to still go after Brown.
“Chris brown manager call my manager last night sand said the fight is off and he’s not signing contract,” Soulja Boy tweeted. “Don’t ask me about the shit no more.”
Aside from the beef, the publication also revealed he would be dropping his new “Big Soulja” mixtape Sunday night. The mixtape would be released a couple of weeks after the 26-year-old Atlanta rapper released a video game called, “Beef With Soulja?” As per XXL magazine, the game was inspired by all of Soulja Boy’s recent beefs and SB running through Los Angeles streets while collecting coins and Draco AK-47 guns to increase points.
Soulja Boy is indeed one controversial music artist. Aside from several feuds, he also got a run in with the authorities in January. Los Angeles Times revealed the rapper was charged with felony counts of possession of an assault weapon, a “Mini Draco AR-IS.” The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office also added that Soulja Boy was also facing possession of a firearm in violation of probation for the .45-caliber Glock 21.
Soulja Boy, however, pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles County Superior Court last month. But if he was convicted, he would be facing more than four years in prison.
