The Clairton City School District has cancelled classes for Tuesday due to a gas issue.
The school district posted a message to its Twitter and Facebook accounts on Monday evening.
Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania has temporarily stopped service to Clairton after experiencing issues, reported Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.
Approximately 1,200 customers that are connected to the distribution system will have their natural gas service interrupted while safety checks are performed.
