Nine Gavit High School students and a teacher were involved in a crash on Saturday on Interstate 65 in Tippecanoe County while returning from a music competition in Indianapolis.
A minibus carrying the students struck a wall near mile marker 175, near the Indiana 25 exit around 2:30 p.m., according to a statement from the Indiana State Police.
The bus was being driven by a Gavit teacher, according to police. The bus has "significant damage" on its right side near its door. Students were transported to IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette "as a precaution," according to the statement.
A spokesman for IU Health Arnett Hospital was not immediately available.
