FAYETTE COUNTY, Alabama — A father and son were killed this weekend when the vehicles they were driving collided head-on with each other, reports say.

Jeffrey Morris Brasher, 50, of Bankston, Ala., and his son, Austin Blaine Brasher, 22, of Bankston, died in the crash, which occurred at 4:10 a.m. Saturday on a county road near Winfield, Ala., according to wiat.com.

The elder Brasher was pronounced dead at the scene, while his sign died of his injuries at a hospital.

Neither man was wearing a seatbelt, reports say.

Both men were driving pickup trucks and alcohol appears to be a factor, investigators tell the Trussville Tribune. Reports do not specify if one or both men had been drinking.
