Six people, including a 13-year-old boy, have been shot in attacks on the West and South sides since early Sunday morning, police said.

Just after 9 p.m., a 36-year-old man was shot in the back in the 1000 block of North Pulaski Road in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood, police said. His condition was stabilized at Mount Sinai Hospital. 

A 13-year-old boy was shot in the left arm about 8:15 p.m. in the Gresham neighborhood, police said. The teen was in the 7600 block of South Peoria Street when someone inside a dark-colored SUV pulled up and shot him. He was taken in good condition to Comer Children’s Hospital. 

In the South Deering neighborhood, a 21-year-old man was shot at 7:45 p.m. while he was sitting in a vehicle in the 9500 block of South Houston Avenue, police said. The shooter got out of a dark-colored SUV in the middle of traffic and shot at the man, wounding him in the right arm. The 21-year-old man took himself to Trinity Hospital, where he was listed in good condition. 

In the Grand Crossing neighborhood, a 38-year-old man was shot in the 7400 block of South Kenwood Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. The man suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks and went in a private vehicle to Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition was stabilized. The man got into a dispute with someone inside a dark-colored SUV who took out a gun and shot the man, police said.

Earlier, a man was shot just before 5 p.m. in the 6400 block of South Sangamon Street in the Englewood neighborhood, police said in a media notification. The man, 32, suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized. The man was on the street when someone shot him, police said.

Earlier, a 49-year-old man drove himself to an area hospital after being shot while walking down the street in the Lawndale neighborhood. About 9 a.m. Sunday, the man showed up at Rush University Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Chicago police. He later was found to have been shot in the arms and leg.

The man told officers he was walking in the 4200 block of West Roosevelt Road in the Lawndale neighborhood, about 6 a.m., when a person he didn’t know walked up to him and started shooting, officials said. The man later was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.

No arrests have been made in the shootings, according to police.

Tribune data shows that four of the men who were wounded are well above the average age for shooting victims in Chicago. Of the 4,633 people shot between Jan. 1, 2016, and early Sunday in the city for whom the Tribune has information on exact age, the average age was about 26.1 years. A total of at least 4,827 people have been shot in the city in that time.
