A new legislation proposal was introduced in the Oregon House Monday that would require presidential candidates to release their federal income tax returns and make them public in order to appear on the Oregon ballot. Sounds good, but regarding Trump:
- Why would the public believe any tax information from him now would be accurate when he has no doubt paid his accountants generously to alter and clean them up?
- He held off during the entire campaign saying he would release his taxes after the audit was complete. Yet that was completely false since many knowledgeable (and honest) accountants have said there is no such restraint.
We’ve had enough of his lies so far to know that if he did submit any tax information it wouldn’t be genuine. And he has benefited for years by throwing his money at any problem and getting the outcome he wants.
