PORTLAND, Ore. — Chase Foster scored 18 points and San Francisco jumped out early and cruised to a 65-51 victory over Portland on Saturday night.

The Dons (19-10, 9-7 West Coast Conference) bounced back from a 96-61 loss at No. 1 Gonzaga on Thursday and snapped a two-game losing skid. Portland (9-19, 2-14) has lost 14 straight.

Foster was 5 of 7 from the floor and shot 6 of 6 from the line. Jordan Ratinho had 13 points and made three 3-pointers for San Francisco. Charles Minlend added 11 points.

Jazz Johnson scored 18 points to lead Portland.

San Francisco took the lead for good with seven minutes left in the first half and led 29-18 at halftime. Portland pulled to 40-32 with 12:43 remaining but didn’t get closer. The Pilots went nearly six minutes without a field goal before D’Marques Tyson made a 3-pointer with 5:24 to play that made it 52-40.
