Trump superfan Gene Huber called his embrace of the president the “moment of his life.”
Huber got to Orlando Melbourne International Airport at 4 a.m. Saturday to be the first person in line for Trump’s rally.
Turns out a television interview he gave while online had caught Trump’s attention.
“That’s my guy right there. Let him up,” Trump said, pointing to Huber midway through his speech.
“It’s OK. I’m only worried he’s going to give me a kiss. I’m not worried about him.
“Come up here, hop over the fence. Look at him, look at this guy. This guy is great,” Trump continued. “Say a couple of words.”
Huber shook his head in disbelief and thanked the president.
When Trump took the microphone back, he proclaimed, “A star is born.”
Huber told CNN later he had never been involved in politics before — but Trump inspired him.
Huber even keeps a six-foot cardboard cutout of Trump in his house. He prays to the cutout every day, he told CNN.
“I salute that every single day and I pray and I tell him, ‘Mr. President, I pray for your safety today,’ ” Huber told CNN.
“And I’m not lying,I do that every single day to the president, but he’s cardboard.”
