Columbia County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man suspected of shooting and injuring another near Vernonia, officials said.
A caller told the sheriff’s office that Gregory Reynolds, 37, fired multiple shots from his pickup truck in the 58000 block of Kirk Road, spokesman Jeff Dickerson said. The caller said Reynolds drove away shortly before 3 p.m., Dickerson said.
Lewis Cochran, 45, was reportedly struck by gunfire and taken to an area hospital, Dickerson said.
Officials are investigating the shooting and are still searching for Reynolds, Dickerson said.
No other details were available on Saturday evening.
