RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Personal Welfare, Chagrin Mills: Police were dispatched to a home after dispatch received a call from a woman who said she was dying 9:52 p.m. Feb. 10. Everyone at the house checked out fine, and the previous owners no longer lived at that address. An officer then went to a West River Road address and spoke to a woman who said that the female in question had been deceased for two months. Dispatch then determined that the caller lived in Mayfield Heights.

Information received, Watt Road: While on patrol 2:30 p.m. Feb. 12:30 p.m. Feb. 13, an officer noted that the speed limit sign was missing. The road department was notified.

Mutual Aid, Caves Road: After a tree fell on the road 10 p.m. Feb. 12 on the Chester side of the street and caused a car crash, Russell police shut down the road until the debris could be cleared. A Russell man involved in the crash was transported to his home.

Welfare Check, Chillicothe Road: Police were dispatched 5:37 p.m. Feb. 12 to check on a woman. She was determined to be at risk for suicide and was transported to Geauga Hospital for evaluation.

Suspicious Person, Clarion Drive: A young man with a clipboard knocked on a woman’s door 3:50 p.m. Feb. 12. Instead of opening her door, she called police. An officer located him and determined he was soliciting for a house painting business. He was advised to obtain a permit.

Found Property, Chillicothe Road: A man turned in a wallet 7:20 p.m. Feb. 11 that he found at the Chester Township Giant Eagle. Police contacted the owner and she went to the police station to retrieve it.
