ALBANY —It may not have been shorts weather, but Saturday’s warm temperatures reminded Capital Region residents that spring is just around the corner.

Under sunny skies, the temperature reached 52 degrees Saturday in Albany, but the mercury is expected to drop to around 35 degrees overnight.

Here’s what to expect for the rest of the holiday weekend:

Sunday

Skies will be overcast and the temperature will top out around 45 degrees during the day, dropping to 31 overnight.

Monday

Although the sun will be back, the high temperature is forecast to be 39 degrees, with an overnight low of 19 degrees.

The normal day time temperature this time of year is 35 degrees.
