The Yankees won their arbitration case against Dellin Betances.
The three-time All-Star reliever will make $3 million this season. He filed at $5 million. The hearing was held in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Friday.
Betances, who turns 29 next month, will work in the eighth inning in front of Aroldis Chapman after an unsuccessful stint at closer to end last season. Over the past three seasons, Betances has a 1.93 ERA with a combined 392 strikeouts in 247 innings.
