ALBANY — Glass panels on the Times Union Center Atrium are replaced on Friday.

The work is part of a $19.6 million renovation plan that will add LED screens, a new glass elevator, new escalators, a three-story waterfall, plant life and climate control to the newly enclosed atrium area.

The work is being done one panel at a time to limit weather intrusion. It is expected to take ten days, according to Bob Belber, SMG Regional General Manager of the Times Union Center and the Albany Capital Center.
