A middle school teacher and a school safety agent were victims of an after school beatdown Thursday.
Teacher Robert George, 51, was attacked by a 13-year-old boy who hit him in the ribs while he was escorting students to the bus, officials said.
School safety agent Luis Rivera, who witnessed the incident, tried to intervene and stop the assault, but was hit by another 14-year-old boy in the forehead. The safety agent was also attacked by two other students who threw pieces of ice at him.
Both the teacher and safety agent were to taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities say the school has been notified of the incident. Currently there are no arrests.
