BENTLEYVILLE, Ohio — Drunk driving (physical control), Chagrin River Road: A patrol officer was flagged down by witnesses around 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 concerning a woman they found slumped over the steering wheel, her car stopped in the roadway with the engine still running.

They said they had pulled the woman’s car into the nearby church lot for safety reasons. Detecting a strong odor of alcohol, police asked the Chagrin Falls woman, 55, how much she’d had to drink and she replied “too much,” later registering .242 BAC on the Breathalyzer, more than three times the legal limit.

Speeding, drunk driving; South Franklin Street: A Columbus man, 24, was stopped shortly before 2 a.m. on Feb. 17 for driving 48 mph in a 35-mph zone and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. He registered a .108 BAC on the Breathalyzer, over the legal limit of .08 BAC, and the car, which was not his, was towed from the scene.
