President Trump took a victory lap Friday morning, boasting about the kudos he received following his meandering press conference the day before.

“Thank you for all of the nice statements on the Press Conference yesterday. Rush Limbaugh said one of greatest ever. Fake media not happy!” Trump said in a tweet.

Many critics noted how bizarre the 75-minute-long presser was, but conservative talker Limbaugh cheered the Republican president.

“In very measured tones, the president is firing howitzers at the media and the Washington establishment,” Limbaugh said on his show, which carried much of the presser live.

“I’ve never seen this before; this is great. I’ve never seen this before,” Limbaugh gushed.

But other members of the media were not as flattering about the presser, in which a rambling Trump, among other things, insisted his administration was not in disarray.

“The person is not dealing with the world in which we live. He said things that weren’t true,” CNN anchor Jake Tapper said.

“President Trump, if you’re watching, you legitimately won the presidency. Now get to work, and stop whining about it,” Tapper said.
