VALLEY GLEN >> A North Hollywood man was killed Wednesday when he was struck by a vehicle in Valley Glen.
Tomas Moises Navarrete, 60, was pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m. near Whitsett Avenue and Oxnard Street, said Craig Harvey of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
The crash was reported at 8:27 p.m. near Whitsett Avenue and Oxnard Street, according to Officer Sal Ramirez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and was cooperating with officers, Ramirez added.
The cause of the crash was under investigation, and it wasn’t immediately clear if the man was walking inside of a crosswalk.
Harvey said the North Hollywood resident had yet to be examined, so there is no immediate cause of death.
