A 1-year-old girl reported missing from Boulder was found safe in Oklahoma this afternoon and her father was taken into custody, police said, but investigators are still searching for the girl’s mother.
Police said Winter Daisy Mead was located in Oklahoma just outside of Tulsa around 1:15 p.m. today with her father, Adam Densmore. The girl was not harmed and was placed in child protective services.
Densmore, 32, was arrested on suspicion of violation of a custody agreement.
The baby’s 25-year-old mother, Ashley Elizabeth Mead, has still not been located, police said. She was last seen Sunday and was reported missing on Tuesday after she did not show up for work.
Police on Wednesday were stationed outside Mead’s apartment on Manhattan Circle in Boulder, and a dog was brought to the scene to help search the area.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ashley Mead is asked to contact the Boulder Police Department at 303-441-1974.
