“Felon Bae”, “Prison Bae” or “Hot Felon” made his first major modeling debut in front of a packed audience Monday for the Philipp Plein collection during New York Fashion Week at the New York Public Library. The blue-eyed, sharp-jawed internet sensation first received recognition after his 2014 mugshot went viral on Facebook and received over 64,000 likes, instantly turning him into an internet heartthrob.

Meeks made his runway debut on day five of NYFW, wearing black pants, black boots, a black jacket and a black puffer coat with fur hood. Meeks was signed to White Cross Management modeling agency behind bars a year before his release last March.
The 33-year-old husband and father of three faced gun possession charges in the crime-stricken city of Stockton, California after a gang sweep and served two years in prison. He had a record for automobile theft and has served time in both state and federal prisons, NBC News reported.

Plein, a German designer, said he put Meeks in the fashion show despite his criminal record because “we’re all bad boys; I’m a bad boy.” He had previously promised something different for his first time at NYFW, and got to deliver it with live music from Nas and The Kills. Celebrities in attendance who got to witness Meeks’ runway walk in Plein’s designer included Kylie Jenner, Madonna, Tiffany Trump, Paris Hilton, Taylor Hill, Shay Mitchell and rappers Fat Joe and Tyga. Meek strutted the catwalk alongside other public figures such as Fetty Wap, Desiigner and Young Thug.
“This dream came true for me tonight,” Plein told NBC News. “Even my girlfriend is here and she didn’t have a seat.”
