Paris Jackson is indeed one sweet sister. Michael Jackson’s daughter recently shared a rare glimpse of her childhood when she shared a throwback photo of herself and her brother Prince on Instagram. The post was Paris’ tribute to her brother as he celebrated his 20th birthday.
Paris’ Instagram post was accompanied by a touching caption for her big brother. According to Daily Express, the 18-year-old daughter of the late king of pop wrote a message of gratitude for being her “rock” and for being “the coolest brother.”
“The coolest big brother ever and my bestest friend in the whole wide world is 20 today and I honestly can’t believe how fast the time has gone by,” Paris wrote. “Thank you gooko for always supporting me and encouraging me to be myself. There’s no one like you, you’re my rock. happy birthday, I love you.”
It was not just Paris, however, who had good words for her sibling. Prince also took to Instagram to post a video congratulating his sister for a job well done when she presented at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
“So proud of my sister, not only did she address a crowd that big, but she designed a tasteful dress that expresses her individuality and uniqueness and she ROCKED it,” Prince captioned the video. “Proud of you @parisjackson.”
Speaking of the Grammys, E! News noted Paris, who wore a striped Balmain jumpsuit and a custom Jeremy Scott dress, made it to their list of best dressed stars. At the event, Paris introduced The Weeknd’s performance.
Meanwhile, Paris also gave a tribute to her late father Michael at the 2017 Grammy Awards. On Sunday, Paris called her dad a “legend” and quoted one of his famous poems to the audience. As per Daily Mail, the inspiring quote that Paris said at the event came from Michael’s book of reflective poetry, “Dancing the Dream,” which was released in 1992.
“A legend once said that a star can never die, it just turns into a smile and melts back into the cosmic music, the dance of life,” Paris said.
Paris and her sibling, Prince and Blanket, made their Grammy debut back in 2010. As International Business Times previously reported, they attended the Grammys to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of their late father.
