PEMBERTON TWP. — A township man has been arrested and is facing endangerment charges for allegedly possessing and sharing child pornography, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.
Tristan M. Cottle, 25, of Pemberton Township.
Tristan M. Cottle, 25, was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Two of the counts were second-degree charges and stem from distribution and intent to distribute, while the remaining charge is a third-degree offense and involves possession, authorities said.
The investigation began last month and involved the prosecutor’s office high tech crimes unit and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Cottle was allegedly posting imagines of child pornography online. A search warrant was executed at his home Feb. 2 and cell phones containing child pornography were seized, according to the prosecutor’s office.
However, Cottle wasn’t home at the time of the search. He was arrested Wednesday in Mount Holly by prosecutor’s office and New Jersey State Police officers and sent to the Burlington County Jail pending a court hearing next week.
