Interesting opening line in Froma Harrop’s Jan. 21 column, “Illegal immigration from Mexico is yesterday’s problem.” Apparently, The Spokesman-Review believes the same thing.

On page A6 of the same paper we have the follow-up article to a murder along I-90 in March 2016. The victim, Ana Montelongo Garcia, was savagely murdered by her boyfriend while their 3-year-old son was in the car. The murderer has been sentenced to 30 years for the crime. What the S-R forgets to remind us is that he was in this country illegally but had not been deported even though convicted of DUI, as the paper reported on Aug. 21.

Was this information left out on purpose? There was room for it since half of the space of the story was used for a picture and headline. If a neo-Nazi had committed the crime, would that have been reported? Or is this a sanctuary newspaper?

Biased news reporting is an epidemic across this country, all Americans need to be vigilant to understand what is going on. The media aren’t doing us any favors.
