Drunken driving, Royalton Road: On Jan. 11, a BP employee called police about a possible drunk man asking for directions. An arriving officer located the man and a passenger passed out in a black car parked in the parking lot.
After failing a field sobriety test, the driver was arrested for drunken driving. The passenger was cited for disorderly conduct. Also, while searching the car, police found rolling papers. The driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Burglary, Webster Road: On Jan. 11, police were dispatched to a Webster Road home after its owner discovered someone broke the glass in the front door.
An arriving officer believes it was an attempted burglary because no one entered the home. The house was put on special attention.
Menacing, Pearl Road: On Jan. 11, police were dispatched to Chase Bank after a customer made threatening remarks. An employee told the officer the man said he was unhappy with the bank’s services and he was going to return with a machine gun.
Police are investigating.
Drunken driving, Pearl Road: On Jan. 14, a passerby flagged down a police officer regarding a possible drunk driver in a Cadillac on Pearl Road. The officer located the car.
After failing a field sobriety test, the driver was arrested for drunken driving.
Shoplifting, SouthPark Center: On Jan. 14, police were dispatched to the mall after store security caught two men stealing. Both were arrested. It turned out one of the thieves had warrants from the Aurora and Beachwood police departments.
He was held for transport.
Child endangering, Pearl Road: On Jan. 16, police were dispatched to Johnny J’s Pub & Grille after a passerby noticed a sleeping child alone inside of a car. An arriving officer located the baby, who was fine, as well as the parent. They were cited for child endangering.
Shoplifting, SouthPark Center: On Jan. 16, police were dispatched to the mall after store security identified a man and woman were concealing and wearing stolen merchandise. An arriving officer located the thieves inside of the mall. They were both arrested for shoplifting.
