A young boy known as “Spider-Man” has entered the Guinness book of records, his trainer has confirmed.
The Palestinian 13-year-old, Mohammed al-Sheikh, broke the record for the most full body revolutions maintaining a chest stand in one minute, Mohammed Loubbad told AFP.
The teenager is only 4 ft. and 6 in. tall and weighs under 70 pounds, but is able to twist his torso and body into incredible shapes.
He had dreamed of earning a Guinness World Record, and has seemingly made his dream a reality.
His coach confirmed he has now entered the hallowed record book.
Mohammed’s nickname is a source of pride for the flexible youth, which he received after appeared on the TV show Arabs Got Talent in Lebanon.
He won 14 million votes after performing – something he managed to do despite the war in Gaza making training difficult.
The tricky move which won him the record saw him lying on his chest, bending his back to put his feet in front of his head then rotating his hips to run his feet in laps around his body.
Incredibly flexible “Mohammed al-Sheikh set the record by performing 38 laps around his body in one minute. He beats the previous record, which was 29 laps,” Loubbad said.
A team from Guinness World Records was planning to visit the small coastal enclave to see the attempt but it has been subject to a tight Israeli blockade for 10 years, he said.
Instead, the attempt took place in Amman, Jordan.
Neither Sheikh’s mother nor his trainer received Israeli permission to leave the Gaza Strip, so he travelled with another adult.
But those obstacles did not dampen his trainer’s determination.
His coach believes he performs four acrobatic moves better than anyone else, and now he has achieved one record, the pair are hungry for more.
“We are preparing another three record attempts,” said Loubbad, who has been working with Sheikh for three years.
“He has received invitations to competitions and shows in several countries,” he said.
That is a bright prospect for the youngster who, says his trainer, fears returning and being “buried” in Gaza.
A British racing driver Tom Onslow-Cole set a new Guinness World Record in December – for the World’s Fastest BED.
The race ace won the accolade in the United Arab Emirates in a modified Ford Mustang GT – hitting a top speed 84 miles per hour.
And a man with a huge penis hopes his massive member will be recognized by Guinness World Records.
Last year Harrison Chinedu completed the remarkable feat of cycling for 64 miles with a football balanced on his head.
