Police have identified the man shot dead in the hallway of a central Oshawa apartment building Wednesday.
Durham police found Darius Thorne, 18, in the building on Quebec St., at Simcoe St. S. at around 1:30 p.m. after they were called for reports of gunshots.
Thorne was rushed to hospital, but later died from his injuries. Police say they believe the incident was not random.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the homicide unit at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 5326 or ext. 5402.
