I agree wholeheartedly with John Thielbahr’s idea (Jan. 26) of having The Spokesman-Review publish how our congressional representatives vote. A nonpartisan, nonprofit organization called Vote Smart (www.votesmart.org) does the research for all politicians, what they say and how they vote, which is often not the same thing. This information is free and easy to access.

You would be doing a favor for democracy by sharing it. Of course, if it is too much trouble for the paper, anybody can go to the website directly. Unfortunately, most people wouldn’t bother, whereas they might actually read it in the paper.
