Fashion mavens can rejoice – New York Fashion Week kicks off Thursday morning, and there will be no shortage of shows and events to check out.
The best part might be that the next eight days will no longer be the sole domain of fashion bloggers, editors, celebrities and the general amalgamation of the fashion elite. Anyone will be able to tune into the shows from the comfort of their living room couch — or bed or office cubicle.
Viewers will be able to snag their own, virtual front seat (hordes of street style photographers and “influencers” not included), and will be able to catch the Fall 2017 collections of major brands like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs.
Anyone who wishes to stay ahead of the industry curve and be on top of fashion trends can tune watch Fashion Week Online (FWO), which will be providing live streams of the shows. Now Fashion will also show live streams (the site even includes countdown timers for each show, all of which will appear on the homepage). If you still happen to miss these live streams, most brands tend to include post-show footage of their runway collections after their respective debuts. The upside is that some of this footage could even include backstage clips. YouTube also posts entire shows right after they’ve debuted on the runway.
