Prince’s iconic backing band The Revolution announced a four city tour Monday evening via Twitter, stopping at Metro on April 23.

The Revolution played on two of Prince’s best-selling albums, "Purple Rain" and "Around the World in a Day."

The lineup for this short string of tour dates includes guitarist Wendy Melvoin, keyboardists Lisa Coleman and Matt Fink, bassist Mark Brown (aka Brownmark) and Robert Rivkin (Bobby Z) on drums.

The Revolution previously played at an all-star tribute concert in Minneapolis in October 2016 in the Purple one’s honor and is slated to play a three-day mini-festival in Paisley Park celebrating Prince in April alongside Chaka Khan, Morris Day and the Time, and Prince’s other legendary backing band The New Power Generation, among others.

Tickets, expected to cost around $40, go on sale Friday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. through Livenation.
