CLEVELAND, Ohio – Machine Gun Kelly is no longer just a regional hitmaker.

The Cleveland emcee has scored the first No.1 hit of his career with “Bad Things,” his collaboration with former Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello. Billboard confirmed the track has moved from the No.2 to No.1 spot on its latest Pop Songs radio airplay chart.

MGK and Cabello have been pushing “Bad Things” hard since its release last year, most recently performing the song on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” It marks Cabello’s second time atop the Pop Songs chart, after already accomplishing the feat with Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home.”

Even better news for “Bad Things” is that the song is now certified platinum by the RIAA. This marks just the beginning of a big year for MGK, who is expected to release his third studio album this spring and film a new movie, “Captive State,” directed by Rupert Wyatt (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”).
