Deputies are no longer actively searching for a 23-year-old Clatsop County woman last seen almost a month ago, though they are continuing to investigate her disappearance.

Brianna Renee Judge was last seen in the Elsie area on the night of Jan. 10, according to the county sheriff’s office. A pair of boots belonging to Judge were found on the edge of a bridge over the lower Nehalem River during a search almost two weeks later.

“At this time no further searches are being conducted while deputies focus on other aspects of the investigation,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release Monday.

The agency on Jan. 28 said ground and water searches hadn’t yielded any other clues. Several aerial searches haven’t, either.

Officials and family say she didn’t return after leaving her home for a walk near the rural towns of Elsie and Jewell.

The people who were in touch with Judge before she went missing are cooperating with investigators, deputies said. Deputies said they don’t have any indication that criminal behavior caused Judge’s disappearance.

She has a thin build, blue eyes and short brown hair that’s cut just below the ear. She is 5-foot-3 and was last seen wearing a red/maroon oversize sweatshirt, faded blue jeans and calf-high hiking boots.

Deputies ask anyone who has information that may help them find Judge to call 503-325-2061 or an area law enforcement agency. They urge anyone who searches along riverbanks to be cautious because of hazardous conditions.
