CLEVELAND, Ohio – Authorities are searching for a Parma man accused of intentionally crashing his car on a Cleveland highway in an attempt to kill his family.

Anatoly Povroznik, 41, is charged with two counts of felonious assault in Cleveland Municipal Court, court records show. The charges stem from a Jan. 13 crash where Povroznik, his wife and son were injured.

Law enforcement officials believe that Povroznik flipped the car to try and kill himself, his wife and his son, the U.S. Marshals said in a news release.

Povroznik and his wife were fighting in the car, according to a charging document, and he threatened to crash the vehicle. His wife told police that “everything went black” soon after the threat was made and the car was crashed.

Each of them were injured, but all survived.

Anyone who knowledge of Povroznik’s whereabouts should contact the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED or via text by sending the word WANTED to 847411.
