Medical Assistance, Bagley Road: Sunday Jan. 29, around 8:30 a.m., police approached a woman who had collapsed in St. Mary of the Falls’ church parking lot. After regaining consciousness, the woman refused further assistance or a ride. However, an officer did follow her car to make sure she arrived home safely.
Suspicious Situation, Devonshire Drive: A woman was sitting in the second floor of her grandparents’ house around 11:35 a.m. Jan. 29 when an unknown man entered the house. The woman spoke with her grandparents, who said they were not expecting anyone to come over. The man entered to the garage, so he must have had access to the home’s security code, said the woman.
Assistance Given to Another Agency, Irma Lane: On behalf of Cleveland’s police department, on Jan. 29 Olmsted Falls officers checked a residence for a missing person, who was later found in Olmsted Township.
Motor Vehicle Accident, Lakeview Drive: Jan. 31, a sedan swerved off the road, hitting and shearing a fire hydrant from its base. No injuries were reported in connection with the accident. The Olmsted Falls Fire Department assisted with the broken hydrant. The driver had his car towed, and he was cited for failure to exercise reasonable control and for driving with expired plates.
Fireworks Complaint, Lewis Road: Three teenagers were observed Wednesday Feb. 1 around 11 a.m. setting off fireworks in David Fortier River Park. They then left towards Water Street in a gray or silver SUV. Police checked the area, but were unable to find people or a vehicle matching their descriptions.
Hit and Skip, Columbia Road: Feb. 3, Olmsted Township alerted their Falls counterparts to a mailbox that had been hit by a car at a Columbia Road house.
Assistance Given to Another Agency, Sprague Road: Olmsted Falls police received a report from Columbia Station Feb. 5 about a man who had broken into a building on Sprague Road, and then taken off westbound.
