Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) was killed off by her lover Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) in a shocking twist in the first episode of “House of Cards” Season 2, and a lot of fans have never gotten over her shocking departure from the series.

But this Season 5, it looks like Zoe is making a big comeback. The show shared on its Twitter account a video showing Zoe talking on her mobile phone while looking out the car window.

The short video sent fans into a tizzy. “Wait. What?! Thought she was dead as [expletive]?!?!” Dave Hancock wrote.

Lee Perry also commented: “I thought Frank had shoved her under a train…!!”

However, Tyler Owens suspected, “No way Zoe is alive. Something she did must be coming back to bite Frank in the ass.” A fan named Rich even had a theory of his own: “This can’t be happening unless…she has a twin sister?”

Several more fans complained of the long wait they would have to endure before getting answers about Zoe’s true status.

The show made its Season 5 air date announcement on the same day of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

The Netflix political drama shared a grim video on its Twitter page featuring children reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The American flag is waving in the background, but it has been turned upside down. After, “5.30.2017” flashed across the screen.

Kevin Spacey will be reprising his role as President Frank Underwood, Robin Wright as First Lady Claire Underwood, Michael Kelly as Doug Stamper, Paul Sparks as Thomas Yates, and Neve Campbell as political consultant LeAnn Harvey.

There will be new players in the series as well, with Oscar nominee Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott booking “major roles” next season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. While details of their roles are still being kept a secret for now, it has already been confirmed that they will both be featured heavily in the new season.
