Although there is plenty of excitement ahead for Super Bowl 51, there are a few things you can do while you wait for the big game. One way to keep yourself entertained is by indulging in some furtastic fun and watching the Hallmark Channel’s 2017 Kitten Bowl.
The fourth annual Kitten Bowl will take place on Sunday, Feb. 5. For those who miss the game, the Hallmark Channel will run the special twice right after the initial airing.
The event kicks off with the pre-game show at 12 p.m. EST/PST followed by the playoff games at 12:30 p.m. EST/PST. This is where the top teams in the Feline Football League (FFL) will compete for a spot in the championship game. Animal advocate Beth Stern will be at the front and center returning as a host.
Other familiar faces who will be present during game day include FFL Commissioner Boomer Esiason, Peabody Award-winning reporter Mary Carillo and John Sterling, who is known as the voice of the New York Yankees.
The championship game, starting at 2 p.m. EST/PST, will see the top two teams go head-to-head in the battle to take home the title of Kitten Bowl IV champion. And yes, take is correct. All of the kittens competing in the fourth annual Kitten Bowl have already been adopted.
The four teams playing in this year’s bowl will be The Last Hope Lions, Boomer’s Bobcats, the North Shore Bengals and The Home & Family Felines.
Those who are not satisfied just watching the game and want to see more of the adorable feline athletes can tune into the Kitten Cam. Viewers with virtual reality headsets are in for a special treat because they have the option of getting up close and personal with the members of the league.
Viewers also have the opportunity to get a 360-degree view of the Kitten Bowl field where they can see the kittens frolic and even get a little rough with their fellow athletes. Animal lovers can also catch the live stream of the kittens in training camp.
