“Riverdale” Season 1, episode 3 will revolve around Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) being named as one of the suspects in Jason’s (Trevor Stines) demise.
In “Chapter Three: Body Double,” Cheryl will be forced to come clean about their whereabouts on the night her brother went missing. Initially, she claimed that Jason drowned. But in episode 2, Jason’s body was found, and he had a gunshot wound on his forehead. It was also revealed that Jason didn’t die on July 4. Instead, he passed away over a week later.
Betty (Lili Reinhart) will also be involved in Jason’s death when she decides to ask Jughead (Cole Sprouse) to help her investigate the character’s demise.
Elsewhere, Veronica (Camila Mendes) will have some digging to do herself, but it won’t have anything to do with Jason. Instead, Veronica will ask for Ethel’s (Shannon Purser) help on exposing some of Riverdale High’s football players after a shame book begins to circulate in school.
Meanwhile, Archie (K.J. Apa) will also be dealing with his own problems by making a tough decision regarding his relationship with Miss Grundy (Sarah Habel). On top of this, he needs to figure out a way to attend the Taste of Riverdale event after his dad, Fred (Luke Perry), grounded him. Archie helped Josie (Ashleigh Murray) and her band write a song that they will be performing at the event.
There are some speculations suggesting that Archie and Josie could end up together. Since Archie has already admitted that he doesn’t have feelings for Betty and that he’s ready to let go of Miss Grundy, the lead character will soon be single.
While speaking with KSiteTV, Murray said that she thinks it’s a relationship between the two characters could somehow work, but only momentarily.
“Riverdale” Season 1, episode 3 will air on The CW on Feb. 9 at 9 p.m. EST.
