Super Bowl LI is finally here, and it’s time to show your team spirit! There are plenty of game day outfits for women. Whether you’re planning ahead or figuring this out on Sunday morning, there are plenty of ways to dress for Super Bowl success that involve more than the standard jersey.
Clean and Classic — Those who prefer the preppy look during the game can wear a Patriots polo or a Falcons polo ($39.99).
Warm and Cozy — For some people, the Super Bowl means sitting on the couch in your sweats all day. Ladies rooting for Atlanta can stay comfortable in a hoodie ($59.99) and lounge pants ($39.99). Meanwhile, New England fans can rock a fleece sweatshirt ($59.99) and yoga pants ($34.99). Ugly Christmas sweater-themed designs are also available for both the AFC champs and NFC champs.
DIY Jersey — If you’re on a budget, you can easily make your own jersey! Patriots fans can buy a white shirt with blue fabric paint or markers. Falcons fans should go for a red shirt with black fabric paint or markers. Typically, you want the shirt to be darker than the paint so everything is easily visible. Iron on letters and numbers work too. Simply write your a name (favorite player’s name or your own) on the back with a jersey number. You can get out the glue gun and rhinestones if you want to add more personal flair to your DIY Super Bowl jersey.
Shop Your Closet — If the shopping budget doesn’t have room for a 2017 Super Bowl outfit, you can still show support for your team. You probably own something in the team colors. Patriots fans should stick to blue. Simply wearing blue jeans and a white or grey top could work. Patriots fans should try not to wear too much red, though. That’s a Falcons color, along with black. A pair of black pants with a red shirt will make your allegiance to the southern team clear.
Halftime Fan — The Super Bowl isn’t just for football fans. Lady Gaga will have plenty of supporters tuning in midway through the game. Try a “Joanne” shirt ($17.17).
