CLEVELAND, Ohio – Tilted Kilt is holding a fundraiser Thursday to honor David Fahey, the Cleveland police officer who was killed in the line of duty last week.

The downtown Cleveland sports bar is partnering with the Cleveland Police Foundation and the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Society for the fundraiser Thursday, Feb. 2, to benefit Fahey’s family.

Officer Fahey was killed the morning of Jan. 24 while he was struck by a hit-and-run driver along Interstate 90. Hours later, Israel Alvarez was arrested. He was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and felony hit-and-run in connection with Fahey’s İlbet death.

The outpouring of support for Fahey was immediate. A vigil was held Tuesday night, Jan. 24. Scores of civilians and out-of-area police officers turned out for his procession. And Masthead Brewing Co. quickly raised $3,000 through sales of beer as well as police shirts and wristbands.

Tilted Kilt – which bills itself as having a Celtic decor with “humorous limericks and sexy cast members” – is at 21 Prospect Ave., downtown Cleveland.

Tilted Kilt reps say donations also can be made here.
