The Re-connection solidarity project has been a pioneer in celebrating a Kdimension experience, where new generations will be able to learn about the virtual reality software that has changed the way we perceive and feel knowledge.
(Murcia, December 18, 2023.-) On November 24, the first Kdimension experience open to the public was held in Cieza, a virtual reality workshop in which new generations have learned about this innovative technology up close.
The initiative is part of the Re-connection solidarity project, funded by the European Commission within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps. In addition, it had the collaboration of the Departments of Social Policies and Youth of the Cieza City Council, as well as the support of the Antonio Buitrago Gómez school, which gave its facilities to carry out the experience.
80 boys, girls and adolescents from 6 to 18 years old participated in the event, who enjoyed a unique learning experience. The activity was structured in four shifts, each with the participation of 20 users, and took place over a period of four hours, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Under the direction of Daniel Silvente, lead developer of Kdimension, participants immersed themselves in a fascinating story in which they have forged a tree using particles of knowledge. Facing different challenges that have allowed them to travel through different historical moments, such as prehistory or medieval times, the participants lived an educational adventure where knowledge comes to life through virtual reality (VR) glasses.
Users become authentic seekers of knowledge, where information stops being simply a resource and takes on a fundamental role in overcoming the different challenges that arise along the journey.
“We have lived a very special moment, it will always be the first real Kdimension experience and I will never forget their smiles. I can only have words of gratitude to the Re-connection project and the people who have made it possible, they are a good example of how we can improve society. Very positive feelings after this first experience, and already focused on continuing to take steps forward,” declares Daniel Silvente.
This innovative software, developed by the upicus company, transforms the learning process into a unique experience. The manipulation of information in 3D facilitates the capture and retention of knowledge in the brain, providing a playful and meaningful approach to learning.
Kdimension not only offers an educational tool, but also provides a sense of belonging to something bigger. With Kdimension, users have a powerful interaction and motivation tool extracted from the world of video games, transforming teaching into a dynamic and immersive experience.
The Kdimension experiences provide the opportunity to learn about this revolutionary software, awakening in the youngest people the enthusiasm to discover and learn in an original and unique way.
