Launches a platform to channel financial donations for free

CaixaBank has eliminated the cost of transfers made by individuals to Morocco and Libya and of donations to NGOs that are working on the ground after the earthquake and floods that affected these countries respectively in the last week.

The measure began when the natural disasters occurred and will remain active “as long as the humanitarian emergency continues with the objective of facilitating the sending of money by individual clients to the people, companies and entities that need it in these times.” countries,” he reported this Sunday in a statement.

The entity has also launched a platform to channel free financial donations to humanitarian organizations that are carrying out support actions, through which anyone can send their contribution.

In the case of Morocco, donations can be made to Cáritas, Intermon Oxfam, Red Cross, Emergency Committee and the emergency fund of the Unicef ​​Spanish Committee Foundation, while the platform will be operational in the coming days in the case of Libya.

Organizations that prove their humanitarian work in the territory can join the initiative, and contributions can be made through the CaixaBank branch network and through the entity’s digital channels.

The CaixaBank Volunteer network is evaluating solidarity and aid activities for the affected population, in coordination with entities specialized in humanitarian aid.

In Morocco, the banking entity is in “permanent contact” with the team of professionals who work and reside in the country to detect and activate actions in the most affected territories.
