The leasing of passenger cars, industrial vehicles, agricultural vehicles and SUVs registered 185,070 operations until July, 24.7% more than during the same period of 2022, as reported this Friday by the Spanish Association of Leasing and Renting (AELR).
The figures indicate that out of every 10 vehicles, close to two of those that have been registered so far this year did so through leasing.
As for passenger cars, leasing increased by 21.6% up to July, reaching 149,237 contracts. It also grows in the case of vans by 57.3%, which means that up to July 27,052 operations have been carried out.
For its part, in the SUV sector there was a slight year-on-year increase of 0.6%, since in the first seven months of the year 5,978 rental registrations were signed.
Regarding trucks, these totaled 1,707 contracts, 45.9% more. On the other hand, agricultural leasing mobilized 1,066 operations, which represents a year-on-year drop of 14.2%.
In terms of brands, Volkswagen was the one that registered the most vehicles through leasing in July (2,216), 0.2% more than in the same month of 2022.
