Casar de Cáceres (Cáceres), April 28, 2023.- The Torta del Casar Protected Designation of Origin once again attends the Trujillo National Cheese Fair that is held from April 29 to May 2 and in which different activities, such as workshops and technical conferences, where cheese is the great protagonist.
As usual, the D.O.P. It will have its own stand from which product information will be offered and where its certified cheese factories will be installed: Doña Francisca, El Castúo, Iberqués Extremadura, Lácteos del Búrdalo, Los Casareños and Quesos del Casar.
The D.O.P Torta del Casar is going to promote the protected cheese through tastings and promotional bags, as well as with cheese raffles among attendees who buy Torta del Casar during the days of the fair.
The director of the Regulatory Council, Javier Muñoz, points out that they are returning to Trujillo “supporting their certified cheese factories, which are the absolute protagonists of this fair, in which the public will be able to enjoy the Torta del Casar that each one of them makes, with the particularities and nuances that each master cheese maker prints”.
On the other hand, the D.O.P will also publicize the initiative ‘El Sabor de un Territorio’ among the visitors who attend the fair. This is an action to promote gastronomic tourism and is intended for tourists seeking to live a gourmet experience in original destinations. ‘El Sabor de un Territorio’ has the collaboration of some of the most emblematic and unique hotels in Extremadura. The director of the D.O.P Torta del Casar indicates that they are going to promote this initiative, encouraging the public to register at the Torta del Casar Club and access the benefits offered. “For Club members who come through the participating hotels, we have prepared free tastings and some other surprises for them,” adds Muñoz.
XXXVI Edition of the National Trujillo Cheese Fair
The Trujillo National Cheese Fair celebrates its thirty-sixth edition, which will bring together one hundred exhibitors with cheese shops from all over the country and more than 500 cheese brands in the Plaza Mayor.
This year it is expected to match the record numbers of last year, when 300,000 tickets were sold for the tastings
Considered the most important monographic event in the sector in Spain, Trujillo will become the meeting point for the most significant cheese designations of origin in our country and the European Union for four days.

D.O.P. Torta del Casar are made only in cheese factories registered with the Regulating Council, which works every day to guarantee its origin and quality, controlling the purity of the production process for the full safety and confidence of consumers.

Torta del Casar, you have to look for its exclusive control label in which the logo of the Regulatory Council is attached to that of the European Union, the only guarantee that the choice made and international recognition.
