Prosegur Cash registered a consolidated net result of 14.1 million euros in the first quarter of 2023, which represents a decrease of 20.3% compared to the same period of the previous year, while it has increased its sales to 477 million euros, 16.2% more, as reported by the company to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

The gross operating result (Ebitda) stood at 85 million euros, which represents an improvement of 7.2%, compared to the 79.3 million registered during the period from January to March of the previous year.

Likewise, the adjusted Ebitda of the company in the first quarter of the year reached 60 million euros, 9.2% more, despite the seasonality of its foreign exchange business, explained Prosegur Cash through a note from press.

The new products experienced a growth of 41% compared to the previous year, reaching 134 million euros, and representing 28.1% of the total turnover, highlights the “good performance” of the ‘Cash Today’ solutions, ‘ Corban’ and ‘Forex’.

In addition, Prosegur Cash has generated a cash flow of eight million euros, maintaining a contained financial leverage ratio of 2.1 times net debt over Ebitda.

In terms of activity by geographical area, the Ibero-American region contributed 64% of sales and experienced organic growth of 36.6%, reporting sales of 304 million euros, despite the impact on currency, which This represents an increase of 10% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In Europe, which represented 28% of total turnover, sales reached 136 million euros up to March, 32% more.

Finally, in the case of Asia-Pacific, the region reported revenue of €37 million, an increase of 22% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
