Iberdrola has once again been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), which makes it the only European ‘utility’ that has been present in the selective during its 23 editions.

The electricity company highlights that in this way the group’s firm commitment to the highest environmental, social and corporate governance standards is revealed, since, out of an initial universe of some 10,000 companies, only 10% of the companies are finally selected. listed companies with the best sustainability scores.

For Iberdrola, this evolution is the consequence of a model based on sustainable development, which has led Iberdrola to be the world leader in renewable generation, with more than 39,200 renewable megawatts (MW) installed and emission-free electricity production of more than 80 % at the end of the third quarter of 2022.

In this edition, the company has also stood out in aspects such as innovation, relations with interest groups, market opportunities, risk management, environmental management and water.

Iberdrola has incorporated the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), defined by the United Nations for the 2030 horizon, into its business strategy and sustainability policy.

The Iberdrola group plans to invest 150,000 million euros by 2030, and thus remain at the forefront of the energy revolution facing the world’s leading economies.
