MADRID, 21 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Wind energy has generated 20,594 megawatts (MW) at 6:40 p.m. this afternoon, reaching 56% of electricity production and thus breaking a new record for instantaneous wind production, according to sources from the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

The previous record for wind power occurred on December 8, 2021, at 1:35 p.m., when 20,452 MW were reached.

In addition, at the time of the wind power record this afternoon, 65% of the generation was from renewable sources.
