The municipal council of the City of Brussels gave its green light Monday night to unanimously, with an extension up to January 31, 2021, the prohibition of alcohol consumption, from midnight to six o’clock in the morning, in the pedestrian zone of the boulevards of the city centre.

Reason: the return period of experience of the measure – a few weeks in February and march – is inadequate to efficiently conduct the assessment promised at the end of 6 months, explained Monday the mayor Philippe Close.
