The Atomium has reopened its doors Monday morning in the presence of princess Astrid and prince Lorenz, the First minister Sophie Wilmès as well as the mayor of the City of Brussels, Philippe Close, the councillor of Tourism Delphine Houba and the vice-mayor Zoubida Jellab, president of the ASBL Atomium. The re-opening will be gradual, at the pace of the sanitary measures taken for the déconfinement.

The princess Astrid has cut the cord from the input to formally mark the reopening of the site. During the Brabant, which was made by after, the belgian flag regained its place at the top of the Atomium. A flag thanking the nursing staff had been erected in its place at the height of the epidemic.
