In Germany, 2017 nearly ten percent fewer crimes were recorded than in previous year. This is reported by world on Sunday and refers to still unpublished police crime statistics (PKS) 2017. According to current case, re has been no such sharp decline in crime for almost 25 years. The overview will be presented by federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU) toger with Chairman of Interior Ministers Conference on 8 May.

According to report, re were 5,760,000 criminal offences last year. Compared to 2016, this corresponds to a decrease of 9.6 percent or about 611,000 actions. As in previous years, about a third of all crimes are ft-related offences. Of se, re were 2,090,000 cases last year — a decrease to 2016 by 11.8 percent. According to report, reported violent crime recorded a decline of 2.4 percent to around 189,000 cases.
It was already known that number of registered housing slumps in Germany 2017 decreased by more than one fifth. The police reported a total of 117,000 attempted and completed housing slumps for last year, as calculations by German press Agency on basis of crime statistics of countries revealed. In comparison with Länder, Rhineland-Palatinate, according to Welt.de, recorded highest decline in housing slumps (4,834 cases), with 28.3 percent. The lowest decline was in Berlin with around 2.9 percent. However, burglaries in villas and detached houses are shown separately.
The chairman of police Union (GDP), Oliver Malchow, warned in world on Sunday of hasty conclusions regarding security situation. It is true, however, that we have not had such a high decline since first total German crime statistics 1993.
