Since 2001 re has been a program of Federal Office for Constitutional Protection (BfV) for right-wing extremists – and from year to year re will be fewer men and women seeking advice and help. According to a response by federal government to a question by left-Bundestag MEP Ulla Jelpke, three Aussteigewillige have been reported to authority since beginning of year. In 2017 re were twelve contact records, year before it had been eight. This is relatively little, comparing figures with first three years. From 2001 to 2003, a total of 909 former extreme right-wing extremists were reported at BfV.

The figures also show that less and fewer people are actually getting out of scene. For example, last year it was just a neo that left scene behind. According to federal government in 2001, most of exits were given at 23 and 2002 at 17. In total, 111 men and three women have been dissolved from right-wing scene with BfV program since beginning.
The left-wing politician Jelpke considers dropout program to have failed in face of figures. In ir view, dropout programmes were also “not in hands of protection of Constitution”. They should instead be “operated exclusively by civil society”. It speculated that many inquiries by neo-Nazis would be made in programme of constitutional protection, because benefits in question were hoped for in possible criminal proceedings. “The NSU Enlightenment has shown that this hope has only been justified so far,” said left-wing MEP.
Exit program-A positive example
Numerous statements by neo-Nazis in connection with right-wing Nazi underground (NSU) would prove that ” protection of Constitution often had more interest in keeping m as V-people in scene than helping m to get out,” Jelpke said.
For left-wing politician, exit is a positive example: non-governmental programme has existed since year 2000, according to federal government since 601 men and 96 women have been able to get out of right-wing extremist scene.
